Jaguar XE 2018

This black Jaguar XE was with JR Automotive for our 5-Year Ceramic coating, with every Ceramic Coating package we include a single-stage of paint correction, which we typically call an enhancement polish. The reason for that designation is because it removes light scratches and swirl marks, which on most vehicles is sufficient preparation for a multi-year Ceramic Coating.

With this Jaguar, the scratches were more significant, with deeper longitudinal scratches amongst the swirl marks. For this level of scratching we recommended a two-stage paint correction, this allowed us to use a more abrasive compound to remove imperfections before refining the finish with a finer polishing compound.

Finishing polish after using a more abrasive compound is necessary to remove fine scratches, or cutting haze, left by the second-stage. By removing the haze you improve the clarity of the paintwork.

After reviving the paintwork, we prepped then applied the Ceramic Coating before allowing to cure. Exterior finishing touches & interior detail complete, this Jaguar XE looked better than the day it left the showroom.
