Ceramic Coating the Quintessential SUV
Many would say the BMW X5 is the quintessential large SUV, and it’s hard to disagree. From its classical BMW styling, to its excellent build quality, it is easy to see how this model has stood the test of time.
It’s fair to say this is one of the larger SUVs available, which means a large surface area for ceramic coatings!
We’ve had the pleasure of paint correcting and ceramic a multitude of BMW X5’s in every configuration imaginable, and every single one has been great. Sure, we’ve spent long days removing scratches and swirls from the hard German paintwork, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
The ceramic coating packages are popular on these due to the time savings that can be had when washing a vehicle of this magnitude. The slick ceramic coating means that cleaning the coated paintwork is easy, and no longer a slog. It is a faster and more pleasurable process.
We have also found that the brake pads and discs that these 4x4s are equipped with emit a large amount of brake dust, and as such they can benefit from wheel & brake caliper coatings to make those easier to keep clean too.
Another great thing about the BMW X5 is that it looks great in every colour. Below you can see another recent ceramic coating project of ours, where we corrected and protected a BMW X5M50d. That’s the one where they decided to strap four turbochargers to the engine… because why not.
